The goal of short term missions with ACTION Zambia is to provide a holistic experience by implementing a trip that engages the heart, mind soul and strength. Our foundation for this comes from Mark 12 :30-31:
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.”
We do missions because we love people, but our motivation to love others comes from a life that knows the love of God. And just as learning to love God addresses the Heart, Soul Mind and Strength of a person, we want to provide intentional learning experiences that do the same. It is common for a short term team to swing to extremes of just doing ministry or just focusing on mission’s exposure, but it is our belief and passion to provide an experience which addresses every aspect of learning to love God in your love for your neighbors in Africa.
Therefore, we are very strategic and intentional in the different aspects of your experience weaving in and throughout the experience opportunities to grow in every area. We trust God will work in a through individuals during their time and we as ACTION Zambia want to encourage that.
We have correlated our four key words into our four values:

The foundation blocks of a short term trip are our hopes that the visiting team will gain a MIND that gains cultural understanding and a SOUL that grows in passion for missions. The center of everything is growing a HEART for God and what God values and using the STRENGTH of the team for practical ministry.
