Ministry Areas

ACTION Zambia Ministries is comprised of the following four main Ministry Areas (MAs): Ciyanjano Enrichment Centre, CROSS Project, Next Generation, Pastoral Leadership Development (PLD)

Each of these four MAs engage in their own unique ministry activities.   These activities have been strategically identified for the purpose of building up churches in Zambia.  Several activities can be clustered together because they naturally contribute to the overall agenda and purpose of the MA.

Ciyanjano Enrichment Centre (CEC) is a MA that is in the process of being developed.  Plans are being laid to pursue four activities: Church Leadership Retreats, Livlihood Projects, Campground, Income Generating Activities. Each of these activities is considered a CEC initiative and all who labor in these activities make up the CEC team.

CROSS Project (CP) is a MA comprised of the following two activities: Church HIV/AIDS Training, Bible Distribution. In the future, activities may be expanded to include domestic violence and marriage enrichment.  Each of these activities in considered a CP initiative and all who labor in these activities make up the CP team.

Next Generation (NG) is a MA comprised of the following three activities: Community Schools, Feeding Program, Sunday School Development.  In the future, activities may be expanded to include children camps.  Each of these activities is considered a NG initiative and all who labor in these activities make up the NG team.

Pastoral Leadership Development (PLD) is a MA comprised of the following five activities: ACTION Pastors College, Discipleship Training 2:7, Conference Ministry, Evangelism Mobilization, Pastor Resource Centers.  Each of these activities is considered a PLD initiative and all who labor in these activities make up the PLD team.

There is a fundamental level of overlap that exists in all MAs because of ACTION Zambia’s common purpose.  The above diagram illustrates that in reality MAs work together to strengthen churches. In this way they are integrated to ensure that we achieve our mission:

ACTION Zambia exists to glorify God by strengthening local churches and equipping them for ministry in the fulfillment of the God-given gospel mandates of proclaiming Christ to sinners, ministering to those in need, and discipling the saints to godliness in word and deed.
