a. Camping Area 1 – Break ground for Camping Area 1. The area chosen is gently sloped for drainage, readily accessible to the front entrance, and close to nsaka#1. A large stand of trees serves as a barrier between roadway and campers. COMPLETE
b. Chalets- Construct 5 chalets that will accommodate 10-12 campers in bunk beds. Estimated cost: $ 3,600/chalet ($18,000 total) COMPLETE
c. Kitchen Structure – Erect a “Tonga kitchen” near the center of Camping Area 1. Tonga kitchens are usually semi-open cooking structures where fires are easily accommodated. Estimated cost: $2,000 COMPLETE
d. Plumbing - Significantly expand current water distribution system. Install 3 large storage tanks and piping to campground #1. Install diesel generator for well and distribution during power outages. Run water and plumbing to Phiri house and (future) Huckaby houses. Estimated cost: $12,500 COMPLETE
e. Playground- Relocate play structure from the home of one AZ missionary family and set up play area near Campground #1. Estimated cost: $ 2,500 ON HOLD PENDING FUNDING
f. Mattresses & Showers – Mattresses for bunks and four showers are needed for campers. A simple structure will be erected near the existing pit latrines for this purpose. Estimated cost: $2,500 ON HOLD PENDING FUNDING
